Tintilia del Molise DOP

In the uncontaminated territory of the Municipality of Baranello, the GUALTERRA Wineries were born. With the aim of obtaining high quality wines as an expression of the land of origin and aware of the ability of the vine to express itself differently depending on the production areas, the intention is to make the most of the potential of the composition of the soil, the exposure, the influence of the nearby mountains and the temperature variations.

It is the flagship wine of the Molise wine heritage and is obtained from the homonymous native vine "Tintilia", a rustic vine that resists well to the cold Molise winters. It is not very vigorous and is characterized by a rather low productivity. When ripe, the grape is black-bluish in color, has a good aroma and gives rise to a wine with an intense ruby red color with purple reflections.
