Val Resia is a splendid valley of glacial origin, located in the north-eastern area of Friuli Venezia Giulia on the border with Slovenia, it is surrounded by a crown of mountains whose main peak is Monte Canin and is crossed by the Resia river . Known above all for the typical craft of the knife grinder, an activity that many men and young people from the Resia Valley habitually practiced since the end of the 18th century. In Stolvizza, you can visit the Knife Grinder Museum, unique in its kind, with an ethnographic journey, which starts from the birth and development, with the equipment of the knife grinder's trade, and ends with teaching to today's young people .

Throughout the year the following are offered:

workshops relating to the craft of the knife grinder, with sharpening techniques;

workshops where you can learn the Resian dialect;

Guests receive a 10% discount on the single entrance ticket.

Children and teenagers up to 13 years old have free entry.

For organized groups (minimum 10 people) a reserved discount is applied, in any season of the year.

For accompanied visits in a foreign language, the rate is agreed upon at the time of booking, which must take place at least 20 days before the expected date of arrival at the museum.
