Archaeological area of Antas
The majestic columns of the Punic-Roman Temple of Antas make the splendid valley of the same name unique and fascinating, identified as a place of habitation and worship since the distant Nuragic period. The highlight that distinguishes the archaeological area in its uniqueness is the presence of the Punic-Roman temple, the place of worship in tetrastyle style is surmounted by an inscription which confirms the adoration of the God Sardus Pater Babai and the chronological placement in the 3rd century . A.D; regarding the restoration phase under the rule of Emperor Caracalla. Below the Temple the remains of the Carthaginian place of worship (500 BC) are visible.
