Visit to the Rocca Albornoz in Narni (TR)
Rocca Albornoz stands on a hill at 332m above sea level at the highest point of the medieval village of Narni. It was built in 1367 by Cardinal Egidio Albornoz in a strategic position in order to restore the security and dominion of the Papal State. From this height it could dominate the main communication routes and the town center below. The works were completed in 1378 and the result was a fortress with essential lines designed to be impregnable.
The Rocca today offers visitors a variety of experiences, from the classic medieval route to the contemporary art collection.
