Arts/Culture/Events

From 11 May 2022, the Commenda di San Giovanni di Prè in Genoa will host the MEI, National Museum of Italian Emigration, a multimedia museum dedicated to the story of Italian migrations towards the world. The route winds through 16 areas that retrace the stories of migration from the unification of Italy to the contemporary era. At Mei we encounter the life stories of the protagonists of emigration. Documents arriving from bodies, state and local institutions, archives, museums, emigrant associations, merge into a single story, which shows the migratory phenomenon in its many facets.
