The company was founded in 1949 in a small town in the mountain community of
Gran Sasso at 415 meters above sea level, Gran Sasso Island of Italy.
Thanks to the altitude limit at which “Gran Sasso” oil is produced and the microclimate
due to the proximity to the mountain peaks, which cause harsh winters
and strong day-night temperature variations during the summer period, the drupes
they are naturally protected from parasites and pathogen attacks without use
of chemical fungicides, to the advantage of the quality of the final product
