MUNICIPAL MUSEUM OF LUCIGNANO
The Museum is located on the ground floor of the Town Hall of Lucignano, built by the Sienese during the fourteenth century. It was the seat of the Court, of the Vicariate of Valdichiana and seat of the Magistrate's Court until 1865. On the facade of the building the coats of arms and epigraphs of the vicars and mayors who held public offices here are still visible. Inside is kept the Golden Tree, a grandiose reliquary 2.70 m high. Made of gilded copper, silver and enamel, it has branches decorated with coral, crystals and miniatures on parchment made between 1350 and 1471. On the upper floor, the Council Hall frescoed by Luigi Ademollo (1812), depicts the Triumph of Caesar .
